Finished watercolor seascape painting

Finished watercolor seascape painting

We have just about completed our watercolor seascape painting. We can now paint in the figures (again more detail and stronger tones of the figures closer to the viewer), shadows under the figures should be placed with consideration to the direction of sunlight. Throw in a few birds in flight and on the wet sand (don’t forget their reflections), and some dark shapes representing rocks or the usual flotsam and jetsam one finds along a beach.  Again these last additions should only be included if you feel they will help your composition, otherwise leave them out.

Here is another version of this watercolor seascape painting but this time I have painted around the main figures so I could give them white colored tops.  I have also used some additional colors in the clouds (very pale Yellow Ochre and some very pale Alizarin Crimson).
